OUR VISION · NOT YET A PRODUCT

The fifth layer: the boat signs for herself.

Today, people prove a boat’s history — the owner’s word, a photo, an invoice, a technician’s signature. We believe the next proof will come from the boat herself.

Five layers of proof

  1. I · TodayOwn word
  2. II · TodayPhoto
  3. III · TodayInvoice
  4. IV · TodaySignature
  5. V · NextSensor

An onboard AI, quietly keeping watch

A small module aboard, reading what the boat already knows — engine hours, temperatures, battery health, how often the bilge pump runs — and an AI that understands what those signals mean for this hull, this engine, this season.

What it would be able to do

  • Log engine hours and running time on its own — no more guessing at the next service.
  • Notice the early signs — a bilge pump cycling more often, a temperature creeping up — before they become a breakdown.
  • Turn those readings into sealed, sensor-verified entries in the boat’s Book of Life.
  • Tell Bosun, so the plan moves before something fails, not after.

Why we believe it changes leisure boating

Value, protected

A history no one can question. At sale, the buyer sees what the boat lived through, recorded as it happened.

Fairer insurance

Risk judged on how a boat is actually cared for, not on averages. We believe a well-kept boat should be able to prove it — and be priced for it.

Fewer corrective repairs

Caught early, a worn part is a planned job. Caught late, it is a tow, a haul-out and a lost season.

Knowledge shared by the whole community

Anonymised and with each owner’s consent, every boat helps learn which parts wear and when — so every owner, yard and marina decides better.

Where we are today

This is our vision, not something you can buy yet. We give no dates. What already exists is the Book of Life the fifth layer will write into: every record you seal today is ready for it.
